I've always been ridiculously afraid of mirrors.
Having been too busy staring angrily at her reflection she didn't register the water still running. After spending another few seconds gazing into her own pupils, watching her expression change into one of exasperation, she finally looked down at the sink and turned the tap off.
Forget this.
She turns swiftly away, careful not to slam the door on her way back to her room despite her angry frustration. She sighs in the silence, standing just in front of the closed door with her arms folded, eyes shut and head down, her hair falling over her shoulders and forehead.
It's a constant reminder. I
She was reluctantly letting herself be dragged up the path, snowflakes whipping against her as she failed to realise she wasn't actually feeling cold in any way. Desperately, she wanted to ask where on earth her childhood friend was taking her, and that, within two minutes of meeting again after years.
Her hand had been latched onto when she was standing in the village, quite a trek away now that they had been stomping upwards for so long. She remembered how she had felt afraid of the strange way the inhabitants had been staring at her, all too ready to condemn her for what she was, and as she felt the same cold-fear sweep through her bones,
Like the stars that never touch,
our love is clear yet separated,
the distant warmth that touch my shoulders,
they send a shiver down my spine,
looking out into the only light among the shadows,
I wish to find it again.
Resemblances of you,
Dreams of us,
Traumas of me,
it all echoes in the ripples,
my reflection is empty and clear,
like this love that plagues the water,
i will never let go of this useless hope.
I'm right here,
searching for the one thing I can never have,
greed that never dissipates from this foolish love,
if i reach out will you grab hold,
i promise I'll never let go,
even when you try to leave,
surely my love must find yo
In...out.
In...out.
In...out.
Open your eyes.
Light sharpens the focus.
Colors distinguish themselves--
Some shine bright,
just begging for attention.
Others stay muted;
balanced.
A scene before you as the fog clears--
A stage set.
Your ears tune themselves:
Voices, music, cars driving down the street
just beyond the windows.
Loud sounds,
Soft sounds.
Everything
is
Balanced.
Take one last deep breath now;
Your show's about to start.
Take one step--
then another
and another.
Unprepared lines,
Yet completely in costume.
This is life.
And this is when you start.
I've always depended on other people to support me. In my time of need,I struggled to keep people's attention. But in the end,I ended up hurting a lot more people than I expected. As a result,I've lost so much. And now,I've lost you. You were the first person I was able to genuinely open up to. You always told me, that you'd always be there for me. Whenever I wanted to talk, you promised to be there. But now, that promise is a distant dream. Of course,I know it was my fault of what happened to us. It was inevitable. You were bound to leave. I knew it all along. I can comfort myself with this thought. It's the price I pay afterall...for the th
She was standing in the downpour.
There was no lightning, in fact, it was too quiet for her liking, but she kept walking through the narrow street. Lamppost's lighting her path as she listened to the rain.
But, it was calming, a stark contrast to the feeling, of being followed.
She broke into a slight run, and swivelled into the alley.
A fence put a halt to her movement and she slowly took the last few steps to reach up to it, grasping the small gaps as she leant her forehead against the cool metal, slowly sighing.
The silence of the rain lasted a while, only broken by someone hesitantly stepping into the alley.
"Need help?"
She recogn
